Small Delay on Lenneth
Hey guys, I'm sorry to say that the server is being delayed. The server was suppose to be here a few days ago, but we won't get it until another 1-2 days from now. So I have no where to host forums, the website, or to work on some online things until the server arrives.
I was hoping everything would go smoothly, and the server would arrive quick so I could get Lenneth on there, but it ended up taking a while. Lame =/
Good news is that I've got a list of everyone's email that joined lenneth in the first few months it opened, so when Lenneth reopens soon, I can send a small email to every one of those people, letting them know that Lenneth is back. So we might have a good number of people coming back within the first few days :D.
Edit:
Wow, as soon as I hit publish, I got an email saying the server is ready to go.
This morning I got a call saying the papers are all set, and the server will take 24-48 hours to be ready.. That was under 5 hours ago. Not bad.. Not bad at all =)

Ventrillo Channel
A Message From Myles:
Hi everyone, Myles here, your very own PR slut. Our community is run on this vent channel so feel free to join us if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, and what not about Lenneth. This isn't just any ordinary ventrilo channel either, as it is running the latest Speex codec (which is of course mac friendly), 100 slots, full admin privileges, and all around great quality sound to boot. The server is located in Montreal, Canada but should not lag as we have those from Austrailia, Europe, and Asia constantly on the server. We will probably be able to host a few guilds on this ventrilo server as 100 slots is pretty hefty, though I'll have to cancel hosting as soon as the Lenneth vent community gets too big. I could however, have a donation service for guild vent hosting but we can elaborate on that later. For now, add the server to your list today! The information is here, and to your right under server specs. Cheers!

Quicker Update
Hello folks, there's good news and bad news today. The good news is that we're getting closer and closer to Lenneth's arrival. The bad news is that after all the work I did today, the laptop froze and starting going bananas while I was updating the blog. It keeps acting up, so the progress bar will have to be updated tomorrow, sorry guys.
Anyway, if everything keeps going as schedualled, the closed beta should be up in under a week. The beta will only be up for a few days until it is opened to the public. Also, the forums will be up very soon, possibly sometime tomorrow, so you guys can start talking about who can kill the most porings, and hopefully we can start seeing how many people will actually be here for Lenneth's grand opening. I'm hoping around 1-2 thousand, make me proud guys! ;)

Quick Update
Hey everyone, sorry there hasn't been any new info yet. My laptop is has been freezing quite a bit, I've been trying to work that all out for a while, and it's been running some fixer-upper programs all day. Long story short, I haven't been able to update the website in a while, laptop should be fine tomorow, and a lot of progress has been made (Im writing this on a different computer). All that's really left is to get the host, which is currently in progress, should have it shortly, finish up the website/control panel, and some remaining finishing touches. I've decided to keep the talents and new big PvP events and items out for now (The 5 pvp arenas will be in), so the server can be opened quicker, since no one would be using those things as lvl 23 archers and stuff. When the server initially opens, we are going to have a closed beta for a short period while some bugs are found, and I finish and balance/test the talents. The server will then open to the public, while I work on the PvP stuff, which will be implimented as soon as it's finished.
That's all for now, the progress bar will be updated tomorow when my laptop is finally working semi-properly, and another update will be givin.
Toodles. (P.S. I saw some kangaroos while in australia. They're hawt)

The one post to rule them all
Talents!
Talents are a brand new thing, completely exclusive to Lenneth. It will be the biggest thing that sets Lenneth apart from the others. The main thing about the introduction of talents to Lenneth, is that they will make each character completely unique, while bringing out old and fun character builds.
What are they?
They are sort of like sub-skills. That is, skills that modify already existing skills. Each class will have 3 talent tree's they can specialize in. Leveling up will allow you to start putting points into your talents, and enhance certain skills and aspects of your character. A priest for example, will be able to specialize in Battle, Restoration, or Exorcism. Putting points into the Battle tree will give the priest more atk, aspd, crits, chance to stun, etc. It will turn the priest into a worthy battle priest. A build that was once popular, but used in extremely rare circumstances due to it's low power. Restoration will slightly enhance the priests healing abilities, while exorcism will make the priest better suited for hunting undead and demons. Other talent tree's include a combo tree for champions, a spear tree for paladins, a poison tree for assassins, and a traps tree for snipers. So you can see how the main focus of these new talents, is to make all possible builds evenly powerful, to create more diverse players, and more specialized players.
Won't these make some characters too powerful?
Absolutely not. Talents are used to make characters specialize in a particular tree. For instance, if a priest wanted to become a battle priest, the battle talents only work if the priest is holding a mace, and has Lv10 mace mastery (and possibly others). This means the will have less skill points for supporting, and won't have the matk bonus from rods for their holy skills. A restoration priest must also have a certain skill requirement, and only gets the talent bonuses when using a book that does not give matk. Once again giving them less points for holy skills, and no matk bonus. The exorcism tree will make priests stronger against demons and undead, and great when killing them, but will require a large amount of holy skills, and a rod.
This means the priest will miss out on a lot of buffs. All talents are like this, so players that get talents are meant to actually specialize in one aspect of their character. So now a priest with max int won't mean he is a good healer and good at killing demons, but you might have one priest with max int who is a Restoration build, better at healing than a priest in a Exorcism build, who is better at taking out demons and undead. You may also run into a Fire Wziard, Ice Wizard, or Wind Wizard, which is each better at their specific element than the other. This doesn't mean a Fire wizard is bad at wind and ice, it only means he is better with Fire, but he can still use his wind and ice skills as good as he ever could.

What if I don't like this? I want to be good at everything :(
No problem, each character has 3 Talent tree's right? well each tree has 4 talents you can chose from. You can only max out 3 of them, but in order to get the better talents at the bottom, you must first need to max the one at the top, and one in the middle. But if you don't want to specialize in one thing, you can always max out one talent in each tree, and still be good at everything, since only some classes like the Priest has requirements that only let them use one tree. But if you were a wizard, you could easily max one talent from the fire, ice, and wind tree.
Update
This is going to be a really small one because I need to get to sleep, been packing all day. In a few hours, Kittie and I are getting up at 2:30am, and heading over to the airport for our exciting flight to Canada, which is going to take a whopping 25 hours.. x.x
Anyway, off to an early night sleep. I'll update everything when we arrive in Canada.

Eventfulness!
Here in Lenneth, many have known us for our Bitchin' events, and dedication to them. Not only do our events rock hard, but the whole Lenneth scene will leave your jaw dangling between your feet (More on that in a bit). First lets talk about events. One of the Lenneth favorites is the famous Fabre Dodge. In this event, players are placed in a small arena, skills are turned off, and the hunters (all players) have now become the hunted! Fabres slowly spawn over and over. Harmless right? Wrong! These fabres can not be killed, and randomly use deadly GrandCrosses, explode with great impact, or snap around quickly, using magnum break. Long story short, fabres are very dangerous, they just mindlessly walk around casting very dangerous small AoE skills, run for your life! Last person standing, wins. If it sounds easy, it's not. Just wait until later rouns when the sneaky fabres appear, the ones that cloak and use Meteor Assault, mwua ha ha ha!
Well, ever feel low on a few items? How about a looting event? We've got this neat way to give out many new and interesting items (like the camouflage potion), as well as a few rarer items, by doing looting events. This is basically an event in a map filled with poring type monsters, each carrying something special. They only take 1 damage at a time though, like plants, and skills are turned off. This means a lvl 1 novice can get the same out of this event as a lvl 99 lord knight. The only exception is that a very few of the monsters actually fight back, and hurt, but give a very nice reward in return.

That's only some of the many fun and innovative events. In addition, there are also many auto events, which occur on their own. One of the is the Evil Prontera event. Every hour, the server turns night for 30 minutes, during this time Kafra gets possessed, Evil Spirits, and Wandering Souls slowly start spawning in Prontera. You can help cleanse Prontera by killing these spirits, which will award you with Soul Points. After a while, the MVP, Death Ghost also appears in Prontera, but if you wish to get his rewards, you need to kill him quick! When the sun comes out, all the evil ghosts vanish back into their graves, and everything is returned to normal. The points you got from killing the ghosts can be used at the Soul Master, who resides in the graveyard behind Prontera church. He will exchange your Soul Points for various items. But beware, he is only around at night...
Ever wanted to kill an Mvp while being invincible? Lenneth lets you have that dream. We can at any time, turn a special mode on, on a map, that makes everyone that dies, instantly ressurect on the spot. And I mean instantly as in, you're casting a huge spell, some MVP hits you with 23,000 damage, you die and instantly get ressurected so fast your cast is still going! We like to turn this on in some special arena maps, where there's no where to run. It's just you and the MVP. So everyone can go into a crazy kamikazi mode, because there's no dying, just go nutts until the MVP begs for mercy.

Tired of missing out on events, from logging on 1 minute late? No problem. On Lenneth, if there is an event in progress, it will tell you when you log in, as well as the event name. It will also let you know when ever using a Kafra. But I know what you're thinking, "But how will I get to the event?" No problem! To get to the event, simply talk to a kafra, select warps, and there will be an option to warp to the current event in progress. Simply click it, and Poof! There you are.

Quick update
Hey everyone, got back from Tasmania last night, was good. Met up with Zandor and Tank_x hehe. You may have noticed the progress has not changed much, that's because I've been very busy traveling back and forth between areas for certain things. On monday, Kittie and I are going to be on a 20 hour flight to Canada (We're currently in Australia), so I'll finally have PLENTY of time to get tons of work done (on the plane). The next few days will be filled with saying our goodbyes and packing. So once we're back in Canada, the server can get back on it's feet, and start rollin' again. Good news is I got my wallet, turns out it was mailed to the wrong address, this means when we get back to Canada, I'm going to get a host for the server, which is a huge gap, and would allow me to finish making the website, control panel, forums, server, and anything else online-related. Another reason the progress bar hasn't changed much lately, is because I've mainly been adding new things with the time I've had, things that weren't planned, but just thought of recently.
One of these things is the Testing Room (name pending), where it would have one of every element monster (including Fire 1, Fire 2, Fire 3, Fire 4, Water 1, etc). Each monster will just sit there and do nothing, will have no stats, but 500,000 hp. There will also be one of each race, one with high def, one with high vit, one with high mdef, one that attacks and has high atk, etc. It's basically a room to test your gear and skills on all the monster types and elements. Testing it on the demi-human monsters is also a very nice way to test things for PvP.

Progress on Hiatus for 4 days
Monday morning at 5:00, Kittie and I (J-Rok) will be going on a short plane ride to visit one of Kittie's relatives. We'll be there until Wed night. There won't be any internet, so there won't be any more posts for the next 4 days (Sorry to those who love reading my sweet sweet text). However I'll bring the laptop and continue to get some work done on the server when I can. As for the actual server, most of it is pretty much done, with a few small additions here and there. The next step is getting an online server, sorting all that out, creating the website and control panel (I will be making a nice custom CP), getting the server online, and all that jazz. Only problem is my wallet went missing a few weeks ago at someones house, they have since found it and mailed it, but it's been 2 weeks now and I still haven't gotten it back in the mail :(. This means I won't be able to get a server until I get my wallet back, and if I don't, I'll have to order some new bank cards which will take a while since I'm in Australia for over a week, and my bank is in Canada :/. Anyway, server progress is coming good, and I'll probably have a test server up once I get my wallet back, so it can be tested while I work on the website.
Anywho, need to get packing, back in 4 days! (Hopefully my wallet will be too..)

CTF Update
Hey, just a small update on the CTF.
Some may be wondering about a few things that might ruin the game. I will quickly address a few things that will ruin the game, and how they are being dealt with.
An Assassin grabs the flag while cloaked: Picking up the flag will automatically uncloak you.
A character uses some sort of Hide, Chasewalk, Cloak, etc, while holding the flag: When holding the flag, you will not be able to use any skills or items, to prevent people spamming potions, or speed enhancing items while running with the flag as well. Also, if the flag doesn't dispel all buffs, SP consumption of skills will be increased by 100%, so any soul linker with self healing turned on will waste his SP very quickly, and it will turn off.
Someone logs out while holding the flag: The game checks where the flag is every second, and records who is holding it. This means if the person who was holding the flag last is suddenly not online, or on the CTF map, the flag will be deleted from his inventory, and a new one will immediately be spawned at the base.
Q&A
How will deaths work?: When you are in the CTF arena, if you die, you will respawn in the CTF map. But since this can make a very hard defense (People respawning at their base as soon as they die), being killed will warp you to a "Jail" on that map, which you can see all the action but will need to wait 5 seconds before the game auto warps you to your base with full HP/SP, so the enemy has a chance to get your flag without you instantly spawning on top of it all the time.
What will the damage settings be?: CTF will have WoE rules.
What if your own team tries picking up the flag?: If the respawn on pickup (If the flag has been stolen and dropped somewhere, your own team can pick it up to recover it and have it spawn back at the base) is enabled, picking up your own flag will do just that. If it is not enabled, trying to pick up your own flag will just immediately drop it.
Sup?: Sup.
So what are the victory conditions?: Victory conditions may be different each time, but they will range from- First to 3/5/10 flag captures, most captures in a certain amount of time, and who ever can chant the phrase "J-Rok Rules!" the most in 1337 seconds.
How can you score a flag capture?: The main way to get a point in CTF, is to steal the enemies flag, and bring it back to your base. BUT, you will only get the point if your own flag is already at your base. So if the enemy has your flag as well, half your team will have to go hunt them down, while the othe half protects the flag carrier from them, who are probably doing the same thing.
So you said the flag was an item right? What if it automatically dissapears on the ground after some time passes?: It won't. ;)
Are you single?: If you're a guy, no. But if you're a girl... no.
And that's all I've got. If you can think of any other things, feel free to make a comment and I'll get to it and update this post within a day.
